There are still 16 families that have not confirmed if they will or will not be attending the meet. So please take care of that tonight so we can begin working on the lineup tomorrow.

We still need 4 place judges, 1 place recorder, and 5 timers.

District 5 State Qualifier Meet Entries Due Friday, June 17th

If you want to attend the District Meet, please sign-up right away. Unfortunately, we WILL NOT be able to enter you after the entry deadline.

Location: Cherokee County Aquatic Center

The District Meet is the qualifying meet for the GRPA State Championships. The Overall Top 3 finishers in individual and relay events will advance to the State Championships in Cumming, Georgia, on July 22nd and 23rd. Our team will be fined a scratch fee of $10 for any swimmer that qualifies for State will not be able to attend. That fee will be passed on to the swimmer's family.

The State Championships will be at Cherokee County Aquatic Center on July 22nd and 23rd. 7-10-year-olds will swim on Friday, and 11 and overs will swim on Saturday. The State Meet will be a prelim/final meet. The top 8 swimmers/relays will advance to the finals.

Eligibility: You must be 7 years old by 5/31 to attend this meet.

Entry deadline: 11:30 PM on Friday, June 17th. If you are attending this meet, we need a copy of your swimmer's birth certificate by Friday, June 17th.

Swimmers can swim a maximum of 3 individual events and 2 relays. This is a championship event, so we will enter swimmers in the maximum appropriate events.

Year-round families will be billed for entry fees just like we do for our CCAC meets. The meet entry fees for Dolphin-only families were included in your registration fee.

City Meet Entries Due Due Friday, June 24th

We are hosting the Chattanooga Area Swim League City Meet Championships at Arlene Crye Pool on July 8th and 9th. Over 800 swimmers from the Greater Chattanooga Area will compete in City Meet. We will need much help from everyone on the Dolphins/CCAC team to make it a success. Sign-ups for swimmers are open and will close Friday, June 24th. Volunteer sign-ups are open, and they will stay open until we have every position filled. We will need some donations for the coaches'/officials' hospitality room. We will add the sign-up list of needs to the Dalton Dolphins website in the next week.

City Meet is a prelim/final meet. The top 16 swimmers in the preliminary individual events (with the exception of6 and under 25-yard Freestyle, 6 and under 25-yard Backstroke, 8 & under 100 IM, 8 & under 50-yard Freestyle, and ALL 100 Freestyles) will advance to finals in the evenings. In addition, the top 8 relays in prelims will advance to finals.

Swimmers are allowed to swim a maximum of 5 individual events and 3 relays. This is a championship event, so we will enter swimmers in the maximum appropriate events.
