Great meet last night! Last night's meet was so much better than Monday's. We'll take two-and-a-half-hour meets every time. It was the most comfortable I can ever remember at Stuart Heights. Hopefully, our meet on Monday will be just as nice.

Speaking of Monday. I have opened sign-ups until 11:30 tonight. We still have a few undeclared swimmers. Warm-ups will be a 5:00 PM. Competition will be at 6:00 PM.

District Meet

The District Meet is open for sign-ups until 11:30 PM Sunday, June 9th. If I contacted you about birth certificates, I need them by the end of practice tonight. I know it's a quick turnaround. They just sent the event files, warm-up, and competition times last night. Remember, if you want a chance to qualify for the GRPA State Championships, you have to race at Districts. Most swimmers make their first State Championship on a relay. So, it's worthwhile to go even if you are less experienced. The top three individual swimmers and top three relays qualify for State.

Districts will occur at Cherokee County Aquatic Center on Saturday, June 17th. Warm-ups are at noon; Competition is at 1:00 PM.

The State Championships will take place at Columbus Aquatic Center on July 14th and 15th. 6-10 year-olds will swim on Friday. 11-18-year-olds will swim on Saturday.

Meet on July 5th

We were supposed to host Signal Mountain on June 21st. We just learned that Fort Oglethorpe will let us use their pool on July 5th to host Signal Mountain for a meet. Warm-ups will begin at 6:00. Competition will start at 6:30 PM. Sign-ups are open and will close on June 29th at 11:30 PM.
