City Meet Entries Are Open
ENTRIES AND VOLUNTEER JOBS ARE DUE BY 11:30 SUNDAY, JUNE 25TH
REQUIRED COMPETITIONS
You must swim in two CASL dual meets to swim in City Meet.
RELAYS
Relay names are printed in the Heat Sheet, but we may make adjustments to the relays during them meet based on performances happening during individual competition. This is a championship meet and we will do everything possible to put up our fastest relays.
VOLUNTEERS
We are required to supply 2 timers for each session. Please sign-up to help! We must submit our list of timers to the Meet Director with our entries. Our entries may not be accepted without a full list of timers.
Thursday, July 6th - We will not have evening practice on the 6th. The coaches must attend a meeting that evening. Families will be allowed to set-up tents in our designated crash area at 4PM that evening. We will post a map of the crash area when it becomes available.
Anyone who has been to City Meet will tell you to be prepared for hot and muggy weather and at least one good rain storm. Plan on delays due to weather. We WILL finish the meet. Bring shade, chairs, snacks, and drinks.
Remember! City Meet is a Prelim/Final Meet. If your swimmer finishes in the top 16 overall in their event, they get to come back at night and race in finals! If your swimmer's relay finishes in the top 8 overall, their relay gets to race in finals! There are a few timed final events. A timed final means they only swim the race in prelims. They score based on how they place in prelims. The timed final events are the six and Under 25 free and 25 back. The eight and under 50 free and 100 IM are timed finals. All 100 freestyles are timed finals.
Swim Caps
All swimmers must wear Dalton Dolphins caps. No Dolphins cap, no warm-up. No Dolphins cap, no race.
Swimsuits
CASL rules do not allow tie-back swimsuits. They also do not allow suits endorsing non-CASL teams. 12 and unders may not wear tech suits. If you don't know what a tech suit is, you don't have one. 13 and overs should not wear tech suits in prelims (except for the 100 free). However, 13 and overs should "suit up" for finals if they have a tech suit.
