Dalton Dolphins Update 7/3/25
Pancake Breakfast
It looks like we will have an excellent turnout for the 1st Annual Pancake Breakfast! We are expecting well over 100 people! We need more donations of fresh fruit and bacon. Please consider signing up to donate to the breakfast.
There is a little confusion about the "Floatie Relay". Each relay can have up to two competitive swimmers. The remaining relay team members can be moms, dads, siblings who aren't on the swim team (they must be able to swim), and so on. Each relay must bring their own flotation device. The more ridiculous, the better. Relays will start in the water. Swimmer 1 will swim with their floatie to the opposite side and give the floatie to Swimmer 2. This will continue until all four relay members have completed their 25. The winning relay gets bragging rights for a year.
Gym Floor
They will be refinishing the gym floor beginning Monday. Please make sure your swimmer(s) understand they must not be in the gym for any reason. There have been times when we have not been allowed in the pool while the gym is being refinished. Let's make sure DPS knows they can trust us to stay out of the gym.
Last Dual Meet of the Season on Monday
Our last dual meet is on Monday evening. Everyone will be able to swim! Please make sure to sign up by 11:30 PM on Sunday. If we win on Monday, we will be UNDEFEATED!
Warmups are at 5:00 PM, and competition will begin at 6:00 PM.
City Meet One Week Away
We will be sending more information about City Meet early next week. There are a couple of things we want to get on your radar.
You will be able to set up tents in the crash area beginning at 4:00 PM on Thursday. We will send out the crash area map as soon as it is available. We are required to supply one timer for each session. Sign-ups are open.
