Next Meet on Monday, June 15th

Our next dual meet will be with Ooltewah next Monday. Please let us know if your swimmer(s) WILL or WILL NOT attend the meet by Thursday, June 11th at 11:30 PM. The meet will be at The REC. Warmups 5:00 PM; Competition 6:00 PM

    GRPA District Meet

We have received the information for the GRPA District Meet. The District Meet is the qualifier for the GRPA State Championships. All swimmers ages 6-18 are eligible to go. If you want your swimmer to attend, enter them by Thursday, June 11th, at 11:30 PM. We will not accept late entries.

Districts will take place at Cherokee County Aquatic Center (DIRECTIONS) on Saturday, June 20th. Warmups will be at 2:00 PM; the Competition will begin at 3:00 PM.

There are entry fees to attend Districts. We will charge your account for these entry fees on Tuesday, June 16th. Entry fees will be non-refundable after this date. If your swimmer advances to the State Championships, there will be entry fees for that meet as well. The entry fees for both meets are:

    $20 per swimmer surcharge

$7 per individual event (swimmers may swim up to 3 individual events)

$4 per swimmer, per individual meet (swimmers may swim up to 2 relay events)

    A few things about Districts:

1)The top three overall finishers in each individual event will advance to the State Championships. The top three overall finishers in each relay event will advance to the State Championships. The State Championships will take place on Friday, July 17th, and Saturday, July 18th, at the Boundary Waters Aquatic Center, 5000 Highway 92, Douglasville, GA 30135.

    2) Please only sign up if you can commit to attending the GRPA State Championships in Columbus, Georgia. It creates many problems if swimmers qualify for the State Championships and do not attend. The State Championship preliminaries will be on Friday, July 17th. If your swimmer places in the top 8 in one of their individual events and/or their relay places in the top 8, they will advance to the finals on Saturday, July 18th.

    3) Swimmers can swim a maximum of three individual and two relay events. We try hard to put swimmers in the best possible events, not only to qualify for the State Championships but also to place as high as possible. Relays largely depend on how many swimmers in a given age group attend. We will build the fastest possible relays with the available swimmers.

    4) If you have not previously attended the GRPA District meet with us, we need a copy of your swimmer's birth certificate by Monday morning. You may email a scan of the certificate.

Chattanooga Area Swim League City Meet (AKA. SUMMER LEAGUE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS)

The Carpet Capital Aquatics Club and The Dalton Dolphins are hosting City Meet again this year! We will host City Meet at the Fort Oglethorpe pool, where we were last night.

We are 31 days away from the City Meet, our league Championship, which is on par with the World Championships. If you ever talk to our alumni, they will always talk about how important City Meet was to them. It's a big deal, and you need to go! We will host over 900 swimmers that weekend so that we will need a lot of help running the meet. Please sign up to help.
