Dalton Dolphins Update 6/23/26
Last Night’s Meet
Thanks to everyone who braved the storm! We came up a little short last night, but we appreciate everyone who decided to travel and try to get in as much of the meet as possible. We also want everyone to know that we didn’t make everyone sit out in a storm for hours, waiting it out. We competed for about an hour and a half and got everyone off the pool deck right before the sky opened up. Everyone had fun, and we had an early night. Please consider attending the away meets even if you have to arrive a little late. (Just let us know) And please consider attending a meet when the weather looks iffy. It was nice and cool last night, and we only got a little wet right at the end. If we had a few more of our swimmers in attendance at FTO and Stuart Heights, we would have won both of those meets. Last thing: some people who were signed up did not show up and did not let us know they were not coming. Please do not do that. It makes it very hard for us to adjust the lineup. There are rules we have to follow regarding the lineup changes, and no-shows cost us a lot of points.
New CCAC Website Photo Shoot
Tri-Star Visuals will be at The REC tomorrow morning at 7:30 to take some photographs for our new website. We need CCAC swimmers from all groups to be represented. Please let Jason know if you can attend (423-902-3075). We ask that they bring their CCAC swim cap. A CCAC suit or dark suit is preferable, but not necessary. If they have any CCAC shirts or team gear, please wear that too! Please no High School or Middle School apparel.
Dalton Dolphins vs. Ootlewah at The REC Wednesday, June 24th
We finally have a home meet! Warm-ups are at 5:00 PM, and competition begins at 6:00 PM. Most of you have told us you plan to attend, but we still have a dozen families who haven’t let us know. If you’re having trouble with the website, please let us know so we can walk you through it in person. That would be much more time-effective than texting everyone to ask whether they are coming to the meet.
City Meet
We have just shy of 60 swimmers signed up for the City Meet this year. We usually take 60-80. We suspect there are several out there who intend to go but haven’t signed up. Sign-ups are open until Thursday, June 25th, at 11:30 PM. Remember, you do not have to attend both days. You can sign up for Friday, Saturday, or both days. Saturday is the best day for beginning swimmers.
